The Moebius strip has an interesting property: in one lap you reach the opposite side; in two, you return from where you departed. That’s the reason it is the symbol of the infinity. And that’s the reason I consider it a symbol for translation.
You go back and forth on it, and return to the same meaning, to the same starting point. As in a well crafted translation.
