Translation is an arduous work, but a rewarding one.
Translating ideas from one language to another incurs loss of meaning and creation of new ones. Keeping the essence of the ideas on the text and, at the same time, accounting for the cultural differences reflected in the expression of the native speakers, this is more than a mere puzzle: it is exercising empathy for other human beings we will never see.
Regardless of whether the translation is technical or not, it really doesn’t matter.
Humans will be reading our translations.
Humans like us, who work behind the curtains.
